Well, today hasn't brought any significant changes in our day to day routine. On Monday, we started some new chores for the little kids, now if I could just get Katie to stop asking if she can do chores all day long. Tonight is youth night for Josh and Kodey. They really enjoy going and they are talking about missionary work. John has his usual set of meetings so it looks like it is me and the little ones. They go to bed about the time everyone leaves for their meetings so really it's just me. We suffered a power outage last night from 10pm-2am. It sure was cold. Good thing we have 2 woodburning stoves. We also discovered we need more flashlights and our gas oven works if we light everything manually. Good to know. John is working on campus today for a job fair trying to get students to plan on working at Aspen Grove during the summer. He really loves interacting with the kids on campus, I guess I can actually call them kids, now. That's about all for today, I am going to cut up some potatoes for "Hausenfeffer" forgive the spelling of rabbit stew. Good night

Just letting everyone know that Joseph's surgery was a success! He still failed a hearing test today but they will try again in a couple of weeks. On the bright side, if you have ever heard him try and sleep at night or just plain breathe you would be in for a treat because you can't hear him. I am not sure how John or I will sleep tonight though. I have changed the format of our comments. Now anyone can comment, if you leave a nickname we will know who you are.
Okay, I have added a picture which is great! Today, Joseph is in the hospital getting his adnoids removed and tubes put in his ears. I am at home right now with 3 kids who have the stomach flu...YUCK! John is at the hospital and they should be close to starting the surgery. We will hear good news that Joseph can finally hear well and breathe. What a problem this has been for him in the past. All of the kids are doing pretty well. We have our ups and downs but all in all we have a fantastic family. The kids were excited that we were in the paper for interracial adoptions. I will try and post the article but I am not sure you will be able to read it. Last night, we had a great family night lesson on creating good thoughts and how to change our thoughts when they become inappropriate. The kids had a good grasp on what we talking about and good comments were recieved and the root beer floats at the end were a hit too. Well, I have run out of time goofing around this morning. It is time to make lunch and go and pick up my kindergarteners.
